"Have the courage
to follow your
heart and
intuition. They
somehow know
what you truly
want to become"
-Steve Jobs

I came from a working-class family and grew up on a small farm in rural Manitoba. Right after high school, I attended Community College and studied Business Accountancy. My first job as an adult was working at Kmart (anyone remember Kmart?) as a Footwear Manager Trainee. It was not what I envisioned for myself, but my driving force was that I needed a job to pay my rent! My choice was not a heart-based decision; it was a fear-based one.

However, because of this, I became a footwear manager and was transferred to Toronto. YIKES, I had accepted to go into unknown territory on several accounts. First, my parents avoided big cities and didn't travel far from home, so I had no worldly experience. Two, I had never been so far away from my family. I worked there for several years, but the yearning to work in an office still nagged me, so I began looking for an office job. I was successful and worked in the head offices of two different retail companies until I was let go in a downsizing initiative. I was devastated momentarily, wondering again how I would pay the rent. This time, I didn't go for the fear-based response: "Take any job; you need to pay rent; if you don't, you could be on the street."

I decided to take the time and listen to what my heart said, "You have already started your undergraduate degree part-time; step it up and enroll full-time. Get your degree!" So, in late August, I enrolled full-time at the University of Toronto and got every course I wanted. I graduated with a BA Honours with a major in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in History. I  then completed my two-year Elementary Education degree at the University of Brandon. I was letting my heart guide me as I began my incredible 22-year career in education.
After 22 years, I began to feel drained and yearned for change, so I took a leap of faith, followed my heart, and took an early retirement.  My desire to make a difference persisted, leading me to explore alternative modalities. I was drawn by their potential to help others flourish both physically and emotionally. Since retirement, I have immersed myself in learning and earned certificates for Compassionate Inquiry, Qi Gong Healing and Co-Active Coaching. These have expanded my knowledge and deepened my connection to the work and those I aim to serve.

At 59,  I invite you to benefit from my life experiences and knowledge. Together, we'll navigate the obstacles to your vitality and joy, dismantling the barriers that hold you back from being your most brilliant self.  In my nurturing space, I collaborate with you with compassion and understanding to elevate the vitality and joy in your life. I'm genuinely excited to be your guide on your profound journey. Let the magic begin!
